How does trading work?
STEP 1: OFFER CREATION You can create both public and private trade offers, or receive an offer from another Tradeblock member. STEP 2: OFFER DECISION You can accept, decline, or counter any offers you find or receive. Countering allows you to send a slightly different offer back to the original sender. When countering, you can change both the shoes and any cash involved. STEP 3: PAYMENT You’ll always have a chance to review trade fees and confirm your payment and shipping details before creating or accepting an offer. Accepted offers are binding. If you back out or refuse to ship after your trade is accepted, you will not be refunded. STEP 4: SHIPMENT When you confirm a trade, you will receive a UPS shipping label that you’ll use to send your sneakers to one of our authentication centers for inspection. You will have 72 hours to ship your shoes. If the 72 hours is set to expire on a Sunday or major holiday when UPS is closed, you will be able to ship the following morning without the trade getting canceled. STEP 5: AUTHENTICATION AND QUALITY CONTROL Ensuring authenticity is our #1 priority. Our team of expert authenticators thoroughly inspect every single product that comes through our facility. This inspection includes, but is not limited to, examining the material, structure, stitching, color, and labeling of every item
What are the trade fees?
Our base service fee is $25. We charge $10 for each additional shoe up to a total of $45 for three shoes.
How is authentication handled?
Ensuring that your shoes are authentic is our top priority, always. At Tradeblock, that starts with treating every pair of shoes we touch as if they were our own. Our authenticators thoroughly inspect every product traded on Tradeblock. The physical inspection includes (but is not limited to) examining the material, structure, stitching, color, and labeling of every item. We also perform a quality check to ensure that the condition, packaging and accessories of every shoe we touch — new or used — matches the corresponding listing in the app. In addition, our Member Review feature lets you review small issues yourself, empowering you to make the ultimate decision on whether or not to proceed with the trade.
